ABOUT OUR STORE

Love inspired me to create Sappho Clothing for the LGBTQIA  community and its allies. I was heart broken and angry after my  10-year relationship with a woman who fell in love with another woman came to an end.  My feelings eventually led me to conduct some research and learn about lesbian culture, and I stumbled upon Sappho. During my research, I learned Sappho was a poet, but what impressed me the most was her confidence and power. Sappho stood for what she believed like my ex girlfriend. The more I learned, the more I was intrigued by the lesbian and LGBTQIA community as a whole, which led me to channel my energy into something positive for the LGBTQIA community and Sappho Clothing was born. 

 My team and I aim to contribute to LGBTQIA awareness, equality, unity and support through our brand. When you wear Sappho I want you to feel empowered to conquer all through love and stand for what you believe. Love is love. Spread love. Love always wins!
